TODAY - Sunday, September 22nd, 2010 reporting from Paradise Island - Canada Outside my window... there was a tiny little bit of rain falling but it has stopped now. There are still clouds in the sky so there is a chance there may be more. I am thinking... that life is very complicated. My son and granddaughter were over this morning .... I only got to see them briefly as I was off to work but I could see he was troubled. I am thankful for... Uncle Sam's Furniture hiring me .... I was beginning to think that no one really wanted me to work for them as I am getting old you know, lol. Actually I have to work again on Tuesday for them and then Friday though Sunday and Wednesday, of course, I will be at the Sundeck Centre to do payroll. From the kitchen... there is the lingering smell from the delicious stir fry that Yvonne made for supper. I am wearing... my pjs, my housecoat and socks .... getting close to calling it a night I am creating... nothing .... but I did find a crochet hook and some cotton so maybe I could make some bookmarks at the very least I am going... to be going to bed soon I have just finished reading The Pillars of the Earth and will do my book review soon; please remind me if I forget. I am hoping... Jan had a great time at her retreat. Looking forward to chatting with her and everyone else soon. I should be able to be in chat tomorrow (Monday). I am hearing... the dogs snoring .... something I find very peaceful. Around the house... lights are being turned on .... it is getting dark earlier and earlier now that Fall soon will be here. One of my favorite things... today would have to be having my car keys in my possession. I locked them in my truck earlier today and had to call BCAA to come to my rescue. A few plans for the rest of the week: have to phone my lawyer tomorrow about some startling news today regarding the potential of the sale of my former home .... not that I can do anything to prevent that but in light of the pending legal action I think that my lawyer should be kept in the "loop" regarding the new developments there. I understand my ex-husband is talking about moving off the Island -- YES, there really is a God! Here is picture for thought I am sharing... Attachments:

The Legend of Johnny Lingo on the televison set; plot follows: When a storm washes a canoe bearing an infant boy ashore upon a small South Pacific island, he is at first well-received as a gift from the heavens, even to the point of the tribal chief adopting him as a successor. However, with time as hardships are blamed upon Tama (as he is named), he is finally outcast to live with the poorest people on the island, Mahana and her drunken father. Mahana is considered homely and undesirable, but Tama feels differently, so when he is old enough to build a craft to sail away, he vows to return for her one day. A lucky stroke brings him to land upon the island of the legendary Johnny Lingo, the wealthiest trader in the islands, and after years of service to him, Tama has learned much about life and himself as he dreams of honoring his pledge to Mahana. Around the house... things are quiet as always thankfully at this time of the evening One of my favorite things... is chatting with my friends which I hope to be doing tomorrow as I am not scheduled to work A few plans for the rest of the week: Having Kendra, Paul and Rebekah over for supper tomorrow night, want to make something different so if you have any suggestions please share them; work on Wednesday in Duncan for the Sundeck Centre and then work Friday through Sunday at Uncle Sam's.
