Don't know if it is a good thing that we are one day ahead here!!! Not much to report this Friday after a quiet week. # 1. After having Barry sick with respiratory ailments most of the time since end of June, and me well up to now, i have come down with a bad cough, so been resting yesterday and today. # 2. Been wonderful chatting on Windows live this week. It is amazing where we wander in our conversations. # 3. We wish Norma well on her holiday, she leaves early in the morning for a road trip with her hubby Wayne, through a few States in the USA. Blessings and Hugs, Norma. # 4. Our political situation has not resolved as yet, though I think there is still skullduggery going on..... I can't bear to watch the news, though I have seen some today type shows. I see that the Dutch political situation is making headlines too. # 5. I popped into one of my other sites and there was an intensive discussion about a doctor who died in a chimney...... do these news items pass over your head.... or do you think about them? Well that is five, and now that I've got going..... I could think of more, but I will leave that to other members. Have a great day...... and do pop in and tell us what you are thinking. Attachments:

1. I am thinking about changing my route to work and taking a longer scenic route instead of the "parkway". 2. I am going to start going for walks and picking some wildflowers to put in a vase in my home. 3. I am going to continue to treat myself a Tim Horton's English Toffee coffee once a week (on my way home from work in Duncan) because "I'm Worth It"! 4. I am going to try to get my hands on the book by Per Petterson entitled "I Curse the River of Time". Has anyone read this? 5. I am going to buy a hula hoop. They are pretty, they are fun and they bring back wonderful childhood memories. I understand they are great exercise too! That is about it for my five thoughts for this Friday the start of the Labour Day Weekend. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Jan I enjoyed your post and I hope you are better really soon. Norma is off on her vacation now and I share wishes with you to her for a fabulous vacation. I do like to watch the news but I have a tendency to ignore all the "sensational" news and concentrate on what I deem to be important (just personal preferences which I think we all have a right to have -- one of mine is International Politics). That being said I must admit I am fascinated by the wierd and wonderful news items such as the doctor you mentioned who died in a chimney. Can't wait to hear everyone else's posts! Yes, Sharon, the scenic routes are always worth it if we have time. Talking about 'worth it' though, some of those ads on TV really annoy me...LOL. About the news, I am trapped between wanting to know what is going on and not wanting to listen to so many of the items. I never had a hula hoop, though I saw other children with them..... look forward to hearing how you get on with it. Attachments:

Five thoughts in one day!!!!!!!! That could be pushing it, lol.
1. I'm in the middle of cooking hamburgers, made from scratch of course. getting hungry now, they smell good.
2. Feeling proud. I did a jig-saw in 6 months and the box says 2-4 years.
3. It's been a beautiful day but there is serious wind now. I often wonder how the wee birds manage to stay in the trees.
4. We have four Stellar jays living in our yard. Gorgeous colour but they get very squawky.
5. It's Labour Day weekend. It's a shame summer is almost over. I hear we are in for a long cold winter.
Hope this meets the criteria. Don't hesitate to let me know if it's not what you have in mind, Have a great weekend one and all.

I so enjoyed your post, Irene, what do you have in your hamburgers?
I had to smile about your jig-saw......
Stellar Jays, that would be wonderful, I had to look them up. I always marvel that we still have so many birds.
Hope you enjoy your Labour Day.... ours is coming first weekend of October!!
Catch you again soon, Irene!!
