This week the thoughts that come to mind just now are: * I'm thankful for a safe trip and being home again. * Contact with family and friends, just had a FB chat with my only GS who turned 16 this week and celebrated in Japan. * Daughter sent me a photo (second from left) of her graduation from her university course. * I'm excited and thankful for my new blueberrry plants, I hope they do well. I got a gooseberry and raspberry too. Love and Blessings, Jan Attachments:

It's so nice to have you back Jan. Congratulations to your daughter, she looks very happy. My oldest GD was 16 in June. I've never seen gooseberries on this continent and I miss them. Attachments:

My thoughts have been with my mother for the past week. She is 97 and had a very severe cold. I'm thankful she is getting better and is expected to make a full recovery. My sister has been staying with her as she lives very close. At times like this I feel so very far from home. I talk to her regularly though and I give thanks for the ability. I am very grateful that I have had my Mum for 60+ years as most people don't get that chance. To mothers everywhere: Attachments:

Beautiful post, Irene, and wonderful you have had your Mother all your life. Mine passed when I was 24, and hubby's when he was 21.
When I was a child we had a gooseberry bush around the side of the house, we didn't look after it, and now and again we would look round there and find some gooseberries, so I suppose that is why I bought it when I saw it at the plant nursery.

That's lovely Irene. Talking of Mothers, I'm thankful that I'll get to see my mum again on 6th November. She lives in Spain and will be coming to the UK for a week. Her mum (my Nan) is in a Nursing Home, so mum will go to see her every day while she's home. She loves living in Spain. The weather is so much more better than the UK for one thing lol. Attachments:
