FOR TODAY... Sunday Outside my window... a cloudy day, but temp is pleasant, and the birds have been full of chirps all day, they love the rain..... three lorikeets on my clothes line out the kitchen window. I am thinking... we have to make a decision about Christmas Day, we aren't going to my daughters and we have an invite to one of my sisters. I am thankful for... all the blessings in our lives. From the kitchen... we joined in a fellowship lunch at church today and we are going out soon to another Carols.... not much happening in the kitchen I am wearing... blouse and black long pants.... I'll put my sandals back on soon. I am creating... program for our Christmas shows, Barry has 21 Christmas Carols and songs ready to go, we will just need a few other songs to make up the time. I am going... to Carols by Candlelight. I am reading... mainly my crosswords as I wind down before bed this week...... and the Sunday paper today. I am hoping...I am hearing... hey, it is raining again.... well no doubt there will be an indoor venue over at the village for the Carols. Around the house... the Christmas tree is up and decorated. Barry just arrived home with a Christmas gift from friends and he popped it under the tree. One of my favorite things... turkish dried figs.... I got some at an organic store this week... luscious. A few plans for the rest of the week... tennis, walking, Care & Share, visit friend on Wed, then our Christmas shows start on Thurs. Headings with thanks to Peggy at thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/Picture I am sharing...... from web.... enjoying outdoor Carols.... Attachments:

FOR TODAY Outside my window... Its a warm day, and I can see the garden is demanding some personal attention I am thinking... Like Jan what will we be doing for Christmas, the family are reluctant to make decisions. I am thankful for... having my daughter ans son in law back from Spain From the kitchen... nothing I am wearing... comfortable casuals I am creating... still working on my peacock, he now has a body and a head, and I have found the lovliest hairy knobbly wool in shades of blue for the feather veins and delightful large sequins for the decorative bits. Not sure what'll I'll use to make his legs and feet yet though, nor what his destiny will be I am going... to bed early tonight, festive late nights do not agree with me lately I am reading... "The Robe" by Lloyd Douglas that I picked up at a recent book fare. Very good, all about Christ's tunic, but from the point of view mainly of the romans. I am hoping... the warm weather will stay stable for a few days, instead of being so changeable I am hearing... nothing, silence is golden for the moment Around the house... all is calm, a few things need seeing to! One of my favorite things... seeing blossom and small fruit on my fruit bushes. A few plans for the rest of the week: send my Christmas cards! hunt up a few gifts, More festive activities next weekend Here is picture for thought I am sharing...Sunday with the family. Lovely to read your journals Jan and Daphne and I hope your Christmas plans fall into place soon and I loved both pictures that you posted. Outside my window... it is overcast and chilly. If there is any moisture in the air it just might come down as snow I hear on the weather forcast .... let's hope not. I am thinking... life is so precious and can be over in a moment so it is so very important to seize every happiness that crosses our paths and overcome our challenges. Positivity is so crucial and it is contagious! I am thankful for... my daughters who help me in one way or another every single day. My friends who have such caring and understanding hearts. From the kitchen... the dogs have just finished breakfast so the rattling of their dishes has ceased and they are thinking about having a nap .... I am wearing... green jeans and a sweater as it is a little chilly I am creating... a guest bedroom/playroom .... Kendra and Paul repaired the sleigh bed I bought in the summer and it is all set up .... just need to organize the rest of the space and all will be good. Kendra, Paul and Rebekah spend Christmas Eve here with Yvonne and I and together we welcome in Christmas Day. I still hold the championship title of being the first one up Christmas morning. I am going... to stay home today I hope. I want to be here for chat at 11 and I do need to shuffle some papers. I am reading... Early Recollections - Nanaimo - The Forties and Fifties - a Memoir by J. Douglas Steel. I am hoping... for a more peaceful life next year ... one with a minimal "drama" I am hearing... the news on Breakfast Television Around the house... all is quiet ... just Yvonne, myself and the "fur" children. One of my favorite things... is my home A few plans for the rest of the week: work on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Uncle Sam's staff Christmas Party Saturday night. Here is picture of Maddy .... she is growing so quickly and she wants to wish all my friends and their families a Merry Christmas! Attachments:

Daphne, that is lovely to see all the family around the table, and you too Sharon, you both paint a lovely picture of your lives.
And Sharon I am looking forward to hearing what you wear to the Christmas party.
Hotseat is a quiz show, and the only one I know of one now, I always try to answer the questions.... 6 contestants start, and they can have one pass and hope to get back around at the right time. there are 15 questions starting with very easy ones, which surprisingly most of the younger people don't know, and the top prize starts at 1 Million, and drops back as people give a wrong answer from the 4 to choose from. I am not interested about whether people win the money, I enjoy answering the questions... and often wonder at the things people don't know. Anything about current bands or movies and some sporting questions and I am stuck for an answer though..... LOL
