Well we have been experiencing strong winds and a lot of rain but I went and looked for weather warnings and there are zip zero zilch for East Vancouver Island for today and our temperature apparently is 5C so all is good if you compare this to the rest of Canada. Hopefully you can see the contrast in conditions across the country in the picture below. Have a great Wednesday everyone. Sharon Attachments:

Nice weather map Sharon! Here we are into another heat wave, Tuesday got to 34º we had a dance class, it was stifling in the hall, not a breath of a breeze. Wednesday reached 31º, and today Thursday started off overcast and very warm, but now we are in full sun again. This weather was due to last till Saturday, but now rain is forecast before then, Mother Nature no doubt realizing I need to top up my rain barrel, having drawn on it for watering in the evenings with this heat. Getting a good crop of tomatos this year. Daphne

Thanks for the weather forecast site, Sharon. We were all set today (Thursday) to go off to dance class, and a few drops of rain fell. We went back in to get waterproofs, and in those seconds it turned into a right diluge!!! Still no car, no dance class. In ten minutes the street was flooded from curb to curb and my garden again under water, rain-drain again couldn't cope and started seeping in under the back door. Hey! I only needed to top up half a barrel! This type of sudden heavy downpour is becoming more frequent, it didn't use to rain like that. 40 minutes later looking out in the street, you could say, Rain? What rain? Daphne

Oh wow, extremes in the weather are everywhere it seems Daphne and so sorry to hear that you missed your dance class as a result of the downpour. I do hope your tomatoes survived it. We had a light dusting of snow yesterday morning but it did not stay long and there was a snow weather warning for last night but so far, touch wood, nothing has materialized. I have a meeting today with my trainer from Welcome Wagon, Linda Sendy. We have made plans to meet up at 10 am at Timmies (yipppppppeeeeee) so I definately do NOT want snow to stand in the way of that, lol. Have a great day my friend. Hopefully we will catch up to chat very soon. My love to all. Sharon Attachments:
