Well here it is Sunday already ... how fast the week's go by.
Today it is a special Sunday, it is Easter Sunday. Easter is a religious holiday that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his death by crucifixion. In Canada, some people observe Easter Sunday by attending church while others spend time with their families and friends.
It has been too difficult to gather my family together this Easter Everyone had their own obligations to attend to but I did get to see Kendra and Rebekah on Thursday and we enjoyed a few hours at Tiger Lilly Farms and enjoyed the new baby goats, chickens & cows. Rebekah enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt at her home on Friday and Saturday evening Kendra & Rebekah came over for a short visit. Today, Sunday, my eldest grand-daughter Kadynce spent a few hours with me after her Easter Egg Hunt and we baked some Easter cupcakes for her to take over to the Easter dinner at her great grandmother's home. She even brought me some of the chocolates that the Easter Bunny had left for her -- that is so special! I got to see my son Norman and my grandson, Kesler for a brief visit when they stopped over to pick up Kadynce enroute to the dinner. So you see all in all Life is Good!
As for the big family meal ..... we are going to try to get it together for this coming Saturday.
Easter eggs, whether they are made of chocolate or candy or are decorated hens eggs, are common gifts all over the world during Easter. However, did you know that the biggest Easter egg in the world is a representation of a Ukrainian Easter egg, known as a Pysanka, located in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada, the next province over to British Columbia where I live. www.tabloidcolumn.com/easter-egg.html
I do want to wish you each the happiest of Easters and I would love to hear all about yours.
Love,
Sharon
