Gladys Maria Knight, the Empress of Soul and a Motown Legend, was born on May 28, 1944 and she is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s and 1970s with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips. I would like to share one of my particular favourites with you This now self acclaimed Grandma of Rock N Roll is not sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch either. She is currently competing in Dancing With the Stars -- bless her heart! That is not all either as she has been cast in a new sitcom under development called The First Family. This sitcom focuses on a President of the United States (fictional, of course) who has to balance family life with the responsibilities of running the nation. Gladys Knight is set to play the President's mother. Attachments:

Well I am an "interesting" sort of gal Jan, lol. Actually I like all kinds of music but the music I grew up with, particularly that of my teenage years is what brings back the most memories for me. Sharon PS -- A bit of an interesting footnote to Gladys Knight. I think I have told you how much I admire the Mormon Church and its members. Gladys Knight is one of those members .... she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1997. She occasionally teased the late LDS Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley, that his flock needs to inject some "pep" into their music (which is quite true) so guess what this lady did? She created and now directs the LDS (Mormon) choir Saints Unified Voices, a multi-cultural choir that predominately shares the rich African American heritage of music along with music from other cultures. SUV has released a Grammy Award-winning CD entitled One Voice. Attachments:

I can not believe that here it is another Tuesday already, my home the time passes. I was thinking about our wonderful circle and was wondering if any of your remembered the circle of Friends song from Point of Grace's 1996 album 'Life Love & Other Mysteries'. Have a great week everyone! Love, Sharon Attachments:

I tried to post an Andre Rieu and it didn't post..... I wonder what I did wrong. Would you mind listing the steps to post a youtube pls Sharon. Love his videos, and the female artist behind him at the beginning is a real card... I've seen her on other videos do a rip-roaring whistle with her fingers at the corners of her mouth. I'll check what it is. It is on the Andre Rieu in Australia DVD. "My Way" is a poignant song to us, Barry's half-brother was the resident musician at a club, playing for all their dances as well as singing and he sang this song on his last night, one New Years Eve. It is quite a few years ago now. This is a taste of the Andre Rieu in Australia.... embedding was disabled but it is worth a look, with the white horses, pipers etc. youtu.be/nA-djtitNNgTake care and God Bless.

Jan that was an amazing concert that he put on in Australia. WOW! Thank you so much for sharing it Jan. Let me try to explain how to post a You Tube Video such as this. If you look just above the message box where you are typing a message you will see a row of emoticons and above that are two lines of selections. If you click on the one that says Tube you will get this (but there will not be the spaces I added in so that it would display on here). "[ youtube ] [ /youtube ]" In between the first you tube in square brackets and the second you copy and past the link to the You Tube you wish to display. I will try it here with your selection with spaces in between to show you what I mean but when you do it ....... do not have any spaces. [ youtube ] www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA-djtitNNg&feature=youtu.be [ /youtube ] I will do it properly here to see if it works -- Voila -- I hope, lol. Please try it out to see if it will work for you. Love, Sharon

Thanks Sharon, I forgot about the youtube button above.
We have the full DVD that this is a sample of, and a couple of others as well.
I particularly like the one with a lot of outdoor scenes, including them on a hillside among a flock of sheep.
Here is another quieter one. It did not work until I clicked on "share" and "long link" after trying just share and embed.
