Busy day here in Cedar yesterday. Paul and Kendra are busy getting their motorhome ready for summer holidays. Couple of belts needed adjustment and some power steering fluid .... not too bad -- they are all set to head off. Camping fever has set in. I think they are off to Campbell River in a couple of weeks .... will keep you posted. Sharon Attachments:

Great pic of Rebeckah cooncentrating on learning to ride, Sharon! I know Kendra is into photography, so hope you get your hands on some photos to share. When I think about it, haven't seen much scenery from your Island....hint ...hint.

You know Jan, you are absolutely correct, I do not have a lot of pictures of my Island in the Pacific but that I suppose is because I live here and see the scenery all the time and just do not stop to take pictures. I did take one a while back while on my way to work .... hold on let me see if I can find it. Didn't find it but I found one of my cousin and I in Victoria when she came a few months ago to visit her son. Kendra and Paul and Princess "R" are off to Westwood Lake camping this weekend .... should be a lot of fun for them. Here is a link to the campground site -- www.westwoodlakecampgrounds.com/I will do my best to take pictures around and about this beautiful island of mine. Sharon Attachments:

This is the building that my second cousin lives in (Victoria). Thought you might like to see a pic of my little truck that you hear about on occassion. It is the second one from the end. Sharon Attachments:

That campground sounds like a great place for a break, I'm sure they will have a wonderful time.
Good to see a pic from your area...... not like I expected...... I will look forward to more pics. Somehow I thought it would be craggy and with waves!
That is a nice area for the apartment...... is your vehicle the second from the right. We call them utilities or utes over here. Some people spend a fortune on them, and show them for prizes.

What a relief, I was afraid you were going to say that you thought we lived in igloos and had dirt roads!
Yes my little truck is the second from the right .... it is a 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4 x 4 (4 doors), small box. I absolutely love it and I use it a lot. Never heard about showing them for prizes as there are very common here.
I have a canopy that fits over the box also .... just have not had it on for awhile. When I need my truck to transport things, like my treasures from the garage sales I need to be able to pile the box high ..... the canopy would simply get in the way, lol.

Too many people for me and besides my little truck is simply that ... nothing fancy -- just a means between point A and point B for me, my family and my friends. Nothing as fancy as that article.
I must add though that there is quite the economic advantage to having such a festival as it said in that article that:
In 2007, the festival generated more than $10 million of spending in Deniliquin and the surrounding area
Amazing.
