TODAY Outside my window... the sun is starting to go down. I am thinking... what a busy and wonderful day I had. I went to church again and so glad that I did. I am thankful for... Kendra and her family coming over for supper. Also thankful to the lady in North Nanaimo who gave me a golf cart. I do not golf but Norman my son does and if I ever see him I will give it to him. I love Freecycle! From the kitchen... all the dishes have been cleared away. I am wearing... blue checkered shorts and you are not going to believe this but a bright (and I am not kidding) orange t-shirt. I am creating... my own bible study course. I am going... to check my email soon. I am reading... the Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett .... about half way through it now. I am hoping... that my interview on Tuesday goes well. I also hope that the weather cools down a few degrees; it was stiffling hot today. I am hearing... the faint sound of the television in the background. Around the house... things are quiet and serene. One of my favorite things... is lobster and we had that tonight with our BBQ steak. I BBQ'd the lobster too and it turned out great. First time I had ever tried that. A few plans for the rest of the week: Home tomorrow. Interview on Tuesday. Work on Wednesday. Home Thursday, Friday, Saturday and church on Sunday. Here is picture for thought I am sharing... Attachments:

Love to hear more about VJ Day Louise.
Family history is so fascinating .... if you care to share any stories about your family's history please do as we would love to read them.
Tell us more about this smell of lavender about your home. Ruth, Jan and I were discussing lavender in chat just the other day!

Jan I loved the picture and I could not agree more. We must start each day by counting our blessings! It is so great to hear that your back is better and that you are back playing tennis and riding your bicycles! Great stuff! Sorry to hear about the funeral .... Sounds like you have a pretty great week ahead, particularly this coming weekend. I am thrilled for you that you are going and can not wait to hear all about it. Maybe Barry will get the vacuuming done while you are away, lol. See you in chat in a couple of hours. Sharon Attachments:

Yes we have some great times in chat. Have to get ready for the weekend early as we sing morning and afternoon on Thursday, and on Friday morning. I've put 2 or 3 things out ready, I actually got a purple/pink curled gift ribbon for a headpiece for the "touch of purple' we were asked to bring to wear to the dinner on Saturday night, it will go well with my knitted top etc. It is a bit like this one in the pic.... LOL Barry is taking the opportunity to go out to the farm he went to last year... we'll get around to the vacuuming one of these days! Attachments:
