When I think about music I enjoy .... I can not help by think about Aretha Franklin who is rightfully heralded as the 'Queen of Soul' and her roots are purely gospel based. One famous quote of Aretha's is, 'Trying to grow up is hurting, you know. You make mistakes. You try to learn from them, and when you don't, it hurts even more'. 'Baby I Love You', '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', 'Chain Of Fools' and '(Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You've Been Gone' were fine examples of her musical hits. My personal favourite is 'Respect'; I hope you enjoy it also. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DZ3_obMXwUAttachments:

Jackie Evancho 10 yrs old. Pie Jesu I believe is one of the best ever written. Andrew Lord Webber wrote and produced the Show, Requiem, as a tribute to his father after his death in 1962.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnSEdl5GPG4

Here is another beautiful song, to which we are currently learning the choreography dance steps at class. Difficult, especially since both me and my partner seem to have two left feet each at this!! LOL www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcbMkpdJ0rgAn approx translation, many local words Bordering the Gualeyan ( a river) As soon as prayers were over Well seated on his stead Juan passed From Entrerios and a good singer ( a province) He was a Creole from there A hardworking resident A good friend and helpful And skilful with his accordion Juan, Juan, Juan From the shores of the Gualeyan Juan, Juan, Juan And skilful with his accordion Everyone always remembers Juan His mischievous way of being His joyfulness and his song Interwoven with his accordion Along the coast of the Gualeyan Remain memories of the singer That the young girls of the place Bewitched with his accordion Daphne

Great thread - and I especially loved the Argentinian videos, Daphne, but they were all very good.
