Thought you might like to see the picture of one of the several parks in and around Nanaimo, BC where I live. This park is Maffeo Sutton and the piece is called 'Generations'. Sharon Attachments:

This is one of the most spectacular places I've ever been. Long beach on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. It is part of the Pacific Rim National Park so it remains natural and non commercial. Attachments:

That looks wonderful, Irene, and great to see one of the parks around your area, Sharon. My daughter is going to Brampton Island in QLD on the Great Barrier Reef in November, so looked it up as I havent been there. www.qldtravel.com.au/brampton-island.htmlLove and Blessings, Jan Attachments:

Irene I smiled to see the picture of Long Beach .... it really is a spectacular place to visit.
I remember camping there some thirty-five years ago (in a tent) and all night long all one could hear were the fog horns from the lighthouse -- when the fog rolls in there it is impossible to see.
It has rugged beauty and although the area has seen development in recent years it remains unspoiled for the most part and is a popular international tourist destination. The trip to the west coast of the Island is a wonderful prelude to the actual destination too with the switchback on the highway and the beautiful scenery.
I have not been there for about six years now but have made several trips there since that first camping trip.
Love, Sharon
